Foods high in fructose and fructans include many fruits,honey, berries, some vegetables and cereal products. Even some health food products may contain fructose.

Fructose is better tolerated in the presence of glucose.

Here are some of the foods best avoided or cut down: apple cherry mango litchi pineapple grapes quince star fruit dried fruit fruit bars tomato paste sweet and sour sauce table sugar In large amounts raspberries blackberries asparagus artichoke brocolli leek onion cabbage courgettes honey maple syrup Examples of generally well-tolerated fruit and vegetables are: cucumber spinach potato grapefruit fennel aubergine Brussel sprouts bananas carrots clementine mandarines corn lemon pumpkin radishes yam sweet potato sauerkraut red current rhubarb stevia
